Teachings of Prophet Muhammad
There is only one God – Allah, and he should not be worshipped in idol form. The Prophet of God is Muhammad.
Every Muslim should become the servant of God and recite namaz (prayer) five times a day facing the direction of the Kaaba.
Fasting should be done during the daytime in the month of Ramzan, and zakat (charity) should be given to the poor.
The Muslims should go on a pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj) at least once in their lifetime.
Teachings of Gautama Buddha
Attainment of knowledge should be done by practising purity in life and thoughts, which is known as dhamma.
Desire is the cause of sorrow and one who wins over desire attains Nirvana (liberation).
The following of Ashtanga Marga or the eightfold path leads to the attainment of Nirvana.
His disciples were prohibited from consuming liquor, practising violence, or engaging in corrupt or dishonest practices.
His teachings are collected in “Tripitakas”, which are Vinaya Pitaka, Sutta Pitaka, and Abhidhamma Pitaka.
