Write about the methodologies of human genome project.

There were three steps involved in the methodology of the human genome project as follows:

1. Generation of chromosome mapping through the physical mapping, wherein DNA and genes were identified on the chromosomes, and genetic mapping, wherein the genes were arranged on the basis of linkage.

2. Sequencing of DNA through whole genome shotgun and cDNA sequencing method, in order to know the sequence of base pairs on the DNA.

3. Annotation of the sequence by identifying the genes causing genetic disorders and sequence variation in repetitive sequences
