Solution: Agriculture was the main occupation and crops like millet, wheat and rice were grown. Tea was first grown in China. Initially, they used it for medicinal purposes but later they brewed the leaves. The art of rearing silkworms to produce silk was started in China. They exported silk and enjoyed a monopoly over the silk trade till the 5th century BCE. They also domesticated animals such as horses, pigs, cattle, sheep and dogs. They used horses for transport.
