(a) If a number is multiplied by $4$ and then decreased by $7$, we get $29$. Find the number.
(b) The length of a rectangle is $6$ metres more than its breadth. The perimeter of the rectangle is $60$ metres. Find its length and breadth

(a) Let the no be $x$

$4x-7=29$

$4x=36$

$x=9$

(b) Let the breadth of rectangle be $y$

$\therefore$ $length=y+6$

perimeter $=60$

$2(y+6+y)=60$
$2y+6=30$

$2y=24$

$y=12$

$length=12+6$

$=18m$

$breadth=y$

$=12m$
