Write an experiment that shows that air occupies space.

  • The matter is anything that occupies space and has mass.
  • Air is a matter because it has mass and it occupies space.

Air occupies space-

  • When we put an empty bottle in a bucket filled with water we see the bubbles of air coming out of the bottle when water gets inside it.
  • The bottle which appears empty is in fact filled with air, and air has occupied that space.
  • When water gets in the air in form of bubbles come out.

Hence, by this experiment, we see that air occupies space.
