Open in App
Solution

Balz-Schiemann Reaction:

The preparation of aryl amines to aryl fluorides via diazotisation and subsequent thermal decomposition of the derived tetrafluoroborates or hexafluorophosphates is called Balz-Schiemann Reaction.

Sandmeyer reaction:

Chemical reaction used to synthesize aryl halides from aryl diazonium salts using copper salts as reagents or catalysts is called Sandmeyer reaction. It is an example of a radical-nucleophilic aromatic substitution.
