1. Vasopressin is a peptide hormone secreted by the posterior pituitary gland. It acts on the coiled tubules of the nephrons.
2. Insulin is a proteinaceous hormone secreted by the $\beta$ cells of islets of Langerhans in the pancreas. It converts glucose to glycogen in muscles and liver.
