2. ketone
Simplest ketone is CH3COCH3
Common name : Acetone
IUPAC name: Propanone
Use:

1. Acetone is widely used as solvent (It is capable of dissolving another substances).

2. It is a famous solvent for many plastics and synthetic fibers. It is also used for thinning fiberglass resin, paint, vinyl, adhesives and varnishes.
