Write short note on Weismann's theory of germplasm.

Germ plasm theory concept was given by the biologist August Weismann. This theory was proposed in the 19${}_{th}$ century. According to his theory, there are two types of cells called as somatic cells and the germ cells. The egg and the sperms are the gametes which are formed from the germ cells. The hereditary material is present in these cells. The material is passed from generation to generation by the process of sexual reproduction.
