(1) The Andaman-Nicobar group has small scale, village and handicrafts units. Apart from this, there are shells and wood based handicraft units. Small scale industrial units are engaged in a variety of activities, such as production of polythene bags, paints and varnish, shell crafts etc.

(2) (a) The Ganga plain has flat even land that is why it is very easy to construct roads and railways.

(b) Economically this region is well developed due to agricultural activities.

(3) (a) The Western Himalaya is spread over three northern states of India like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
(b) It extends from River Indus to River Kali.
(c) It consists of three physiographic provinces like Kashmir Himalaya, Himachal Himalaya and Kumaun Himalaya.
