  1. It is the rate of change of velocity of an object concerning time.
  2. It is a vector quantity, it consists of magnitude as well as direction.

  4. For example, when the car is speeding up it is accelerating.

Deceleration:

  1. When the rate of change of velocity concerning time is such that it keeps on decreasing, it is said to be decelerating.
  2. Deceleration is also known as retardation.
  3. Its unit isms-2.
  4. For example, when the car is slowing down it is said to be decelerating.
