Uniform Speed:

  1. When an object travels an equal amount of distance in an equal amount of time then it is moving with a uniform speed.
  2. It is a scalar quantity.
  3. Its unit is ms-1.
  4. For example, a truck moving on a highway covers equal distances in equal time intervals regardless of the direction of motion of the truck.

Uniform Velocity:

  1. When an object is moving at a uniform speed as well as not changing its direction then it is said to be having a uniform velocity.
  2. It is a vector quantity.
  3. Its unit is ms-1.
  4. For example, if a truck is moving at a uniform speed without changing its direction then the truck is said to be moving at a uniform velocity.
