1. Use of HYV seeds has increased production.
2. New technology makes farming more efficient.
3. Faster pace of work due to engagement of machines in farms.
4. Less manual labour is required because system gets more mechanized.
5. Improvement in the living standard of farmers.
Disadvantages of modern farming:
1. Excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides which hampers the fertility of soil.
2. Due to lack of knowledge, farmers can not handle machines properly
3. Maintenance cost is very high.
4. Environmental degradation
5. It leads to disguised unemployment in economy.
