Write the correct sequence of the pathway through which air travels after entering the body.
Pharynx → Larynx → Trachea → Bronchioles
The correct sequence is Pharynx → Larynx → Trachea → Bronchioles. The pharynx opens outside through the nostrils. The functional parts of the lungs for gaseous exchange called alveoli are filled up with air when the air is drawn into the lungs via the nares, nasal chambers, pharynx, glottis, larynx, trachea, bronchi and bronchioles. The process is termed as inspiration or inhaling. The process that goes into reverse action that is the act of air being expelled from the lungs is termed as expiration or exhaling. These two processes act together to constitute breathing.
