During extraction of Aluminum purified Aluminum is obtained in the Cathode electrode.
The Aluminum ions accept electrons from the cathode or are reduced to form Aluminum metal.
The reaction at cathode is, $\underset{A l u m i n u m i o n s}{A l^{3 +}} + 3 e^{-} \to \underset{A l u m i n u m m e t a l}{A l}$
