Write the role of Villi in human digestive system.

Villi are very tiny, tentacle-like structure present in the inner surface of the small intestine. They are covered by a brush-like structure calle microvilli.

Digestion occurns in the stomach and the large intestine. Further, some enzymatic secretion takes placed in the villi which completely breaks down the carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids into their respective micromolecules to be absorbed by the villi.
