Characteristics :

1. Plane of symmetry passes through the organism

2. Radially symmetrical organisms have infinite planes of symmetry passing through them.

3. Bilaterally symmetrical organisms have only one plane if symmetry passing through them.

4. The body parts on both the sides of the planes tend to be mirror images of each other.
