BCG
  • Tuberculosis is a bacterial disease caused by a rod shaped bacterium named Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
  • It spreads through the sputum of infected person.
  • This disease mainly affects the lungs of the person.
  • In order to prevent tuberculosis, a vaccine popularly known as BCG is given to the babies after few days of their birth.
  • It develops the immunity in new-born babies against tuberculosis.
  • The full form of BCG is Bacille Calmette-Guerin.
Incubation period
  • Infectious or communicable disease spread from one person to another and are caused by pathogens.
  • When a disease causing pathogen enters a human body, it takes some time to show the symptoms of the disease.
  • This time period in which the symptoms of the disease are visible after the entry of a pathogen is called incubation period.
Chicken pox
Chicken pox is a viral disease caused by Herpes Varicella Zoster virus that spreads rapidly from one person to another

Hepatitis A
Hepatitis A is a viral disease caused by Hepatitis A virus that results in inflammation of liver.
