Solution

Given data:

  1. The pH of solution A is 6.
  2. The pH of solution B is 9.
  3. The pH of solution C is 12.
  4. The pH of solution D is 7.

As we know that;

  1. The pH scale represents the nature of the solution.
  2. It is calculated by the formula pH=-logH3O+, where H3O+ is the concentration of hydronium ionsH3O+.
  3. For acidic solutions, the pH value is less than 7.
  4. For basic solutions, the pH value is more than 7.
  5. And for neutral solutions, pH is equal to 7.

By the pH scale, we can conclude that solution A is the most acidic solution while solution C is the most basic solution.
