. When the drinks were served to me, I could easily identify the two drinks as sour and bitter, because the lime juice's sour taste was picked up by the upper middle part of my tongue, the bitter gourd taste was picked up by the upper inside part of my tongue.The identification of taste was done by the numerous papillae located on the tongue and not by eyes. So it did not matter whether I could see or whether I was blindfolded.
