Step 1: Find the area of the border.

Given : Length of saree$=5\mathrm{m}=500\mathrm{cm}$ ($\because 1\mathrm{m}=100\mathrm{cm}$)

Breadth of saree$=1.3\mathrm{m}=130\mathrm{cm}$

As shown in the figure, the unbordered portion is also a rectangle of length $450\mathrm{cm}$ and breadth $80\mathrm{cm}$

$\therefore \mathrm{Area}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{border}=\mathrm{Area}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{the}\mathrm{saree}-\mathrm{Area}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{unbordered}\mathrm{saree}$

$=(500\times 130-450\times 80){\mathrm{cm}}^2$

$=\left(65000-36000\right){\mathrm{cm}}^2$

$=29000{\mathrm{cm}}^2$

Step 2: Find the cost of printing the border.

Cost of printing $10{\mathrm{cm}}^2=₹1$

So,Cost of printing$1{\mathrm{cm}}^2=₹\frac{1}{10}$

$\therefore$ Cost of printing border$=\mathrm{Cost}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{printing}\mathrm{unit}\mathrm{area}\times \mathrm{Area}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{border}$

$=₹\frac{1}{10}\times 29000$

$=₹2900$
