  1. If the average acceleration is different at different points along its path, either in magnitude or in direction or both in magnitude and direction then the body is said to be moving with variable acceleration.
  2. In other words, if the velocity of the body changes by unequal amounts in equal intervals of time, howsoever small these intervals are, the body is said to possess variable acceleration.
