Question

Give reasons why plant and animals depend on each other?

Open in App
Solution

Answer:

For their nutrition, plants absorb decayed matter from the soil and are eaten for their survival by plant-eating animals. For their nutrition and existence, the carnivores consume the lower animals of the food chain. They will decompose and become part of the soil when living organisms die, and can again be eaten by plants. In this way, the loop continues to occur.

There is a reproductive dependency between plants and animals, in addition to food dependence. For instance, the main carriers of pollen that is transmitted between flowers are bees. Pollination helps replicate some types of plants. The bees also receive the nectar of flowers as their nourishment, thereby creating within itself a symbiotic relationship.

Apart from pollination, by serving as carriers of seeds, various animals aid in plant reproduction. It is necessary to survive that plants grow over a sufficient region.
