Explain a method to find square root.

A number’s square root is a value which on multiplication by itself, gives the original number. If x is the square root of y, then it is represented as

x=yx2=y

There are various methods to find the square root of any number. Here, we will discuss the Prime Factorization method.

For example, let's find the square root of 1296.

Using Prime Factorization method,

So, the square root of 1296=1296=36.

Hence, prime factorization method can be used to find the square root of a number.
