Pressure is defined as the force applied per unit area.

P=FA where F is the force applied and A is the area.

Pressure can be measured using the following standard units:

  1. The derived unit of pressure is N/m2.
  2. This is also termed as the SI unit of pressure is pascal or Pa.
  3. The atmospheric pressure is measured in 1atm which is equivalent to 760mm of Hg.
  4. 1atm is also termed as 1bar of pressure.
  5. 1bar=105Pa
