Open in App
Solution

Work

  1. A force is considered to be doing work when it pushes something over a distance.
  2. For a work to be done, a force must be exerted and there must be displacement in the direction of the force.

Workdone=force×distance

Power

  1. In physics, power is defined as the amount of energy delivered or converted per unit of time.
    Power=Worktime
  2. According to the above relation, power is directly proportional to work and inversely proportional to time.

Hence, if work is done faster then the power is higher.
