Microbe colonies:
Fungi and bacteria, for example, can live in colonies. Amoebae, on the other hand, are solitary microorganisms.
A colony is made up of two or more conspecific people who live in close proximity to or are related to one another.
Each colony grows from a single bacterium on a colonized solid surface, such as the numerous growth mediums used to cultivate microorganisms. The cell that adhered to the surface at first divides to generate a daughter cell. Following then, both cells go through another cycle of growth and division.
