Solution

Ovarian hormones:

  1. Estrogen is a female sex hormone that is generated in the adrenal glands, ovaries, and adipose tissue and is primarily responsible for the development of breasts during puberty and the expansion of the uterus lining throughout the menstrual cycle.
  2. Hormones control the function of the mammary gland.
  3. Growing estrogen levels during puberty encourage the growth of glandular tissue in the female breast.
  4. Through the buildup of adipose tissue, estrogen also causes the breast to enlarge.
  5. The duct system is stimulated to grow by progesterone.
