Open in App
Solution

Solution of linear equation:

Given equations are :

x+y=7………… (1)

2x+3y=20… (2)

Finding the value of x from equation 1,

x=7-y……..(3)

Substituting the value of x from the equation 3 in 2,

We get:

2(7-y)+3y=2014-2y+3y=20y=20-14y=6

Substituting the value of y in equation 3,

we have:

x=7-6=1

Hence, the values of x and y are x=1,y=6.
