The area of a square park is the same as of a rectangular park. If the side of the square park is 60m and the length of the rectangular park is 90m, find the breadth of the rectangular park.

Step 1: Finding the area of the square :

Given

Side of the square park =60m

We know that,

Area of the square park =side2

=602=3600m2

Thus, the area of the square=3600m2

Step 2: Find the breadth of the rectangle :

It is given that the area of a square park is the same as that of a rectangular park.

So, the area of the rectangular park =3600m2

Length of the rectangular park =90m

We know that,

Area of rectangle =length×breadth

So,

Length×Breadth=360090×Breadth=3600Breadth=360090=40m

Hence the breadth of the rectangular park is40m
