Prime numbers are numbers with only two factors, 1 and the number itself.

Example:

5 and 19 are prime numbers with the following factors:

5:1,519:1,19

Whereas,

8 and15 non-prime is the composite number with the following factors:

8:1,2,4,815:1,3,5,15

Hence, Prime numbers are numbers with only two factors, 1 and the number itself.
