Define square and triangle numbers.

Triangular numbers are the ones that form a triangular dot pattern such as $1,3,6,10,\mathrm{and}15$ are triangular numbers as shown below:

A square number is also known as the perfect square is an integer that is the square of an integer i.e, it is the product of an integer with itself.

Example :

$$\begin{gathered} 2\times 2=2^2=4 \\ 3\times 3=3^2=9 \end{gathered}$$

Thus, $1,4,9,16...$ are all square numbers

Hence, Triangle numbers are the ones that give a triangular pattern and square numbers are the ones that are perfect squares and result by the multiplication of an integer with itself.
