What do you understand by the stock of resources?

Stock resources are resources that can be enduringly expended, and are therefore non-renewable. Their quantity is usually expressed in absolute amounts rather than in rates.

Examples are coal and petroleum deposits.

Potential Resources

• Potential resources are known to exist and may be used in the future.

Developed Resources

• Resources that have been developed and whose quantity and quality have been defined for use and are currently being used are known as developed resources.

Reserved Resources

• Reserved resources are the resources that are defined, and their present amount is recognized, but since they are reserved for the future, they are not being used.
