Open in App
Solution

The difference between stock and potential resources is that:

  • Stocks: The materials that have the potential to satisfy the human needs is known as the stocks. Due to lack of technology, they are not accessed. Water is an example of stock. It is composed of two inflammable gases hydrogen and oxygen which can be used as a source of energy. However, due to lack of technology, it cannot be used.
  • Potential resources: These are naturally available in the place, and they just have to be put into proper use. Solar energy and wind energy are available in nature and they are harnessed to convert into electrical energy.
