Open in App
Solution

When DNA is exposed to radiation the following things can happen:

  1. High energy radiations are those containing ionizing radiations that can change or destroy the DNA.
  2. If this happens cell will be unable to carry out many life-sustaining processes and all the systems of the cell will start to fail and eventually shut down.
  3. There is no cure because the damage is done at the molecular level which can't be reverted back.
