Open in App
Solution

Factorization of quadratic Polynomial:

A polynomial of degree 2 is called a quadratic polynomial.

It is of the form px=ax2+bx+c, where a0.

Factorize the quadratic equation px=ax2+bx+c:

Take p and q such that p+q=b and pq=ac,

hence,

ax2+bx+c=ax2+p+qx+pqaax2+bx+c=ax2+px+qx+pqapq=acax2+bx+c=xax+p+qaax+pax2+bx+c=ax+px+qa

Hence, the factorization of the quadratic polynomial is ax+px+qa.
