Gay-Lussac’s Law:

Gay-law Lussac's is a gaseous law that states that a gas's pressure varies significantly with its own absolute temperature. In other circumstances, while the mass is completely fixed and the volume is constant, this same pressure produced by a gas is directly proportional to its temperature.

Gay-Lussac’s Law

Mathematically, this law can be represented as:

or,

Here,

P is the pressure exerted by the gas.

T is the absolute temperature of the gas.

k is a constant.

P1 is the initial pressure.

T1 is the initial temperature.

P2 is the final pressure.

T2 is the final temperature.

  1. Pressure and Temperature have a direct connection in a closed system with a constant volume. Whenever it comes to rising and decreasing, one variable accompanies the same alteration in a direct relationship.
  2. For example, whenever the pressure rises, so does the temperature. Whenever the pressure drops, so does the temperature. If a result, as the pressure of a given system increases, so does the temperature of that system, and conversely.
