Why are the kidneys so important?

The kidneys in human beings are a part of the system for excretion.

The kidneys are the primary excretory organs, and they are primarily responsible for excreting urea in the form of urine. The function of our kidney is monitored and regulated by the feedback mechanisms which involve the hypothalamus, juxtaglomerular apparatus (JGA), and the heart.
