You are provided with two identical metal bars. One out of the two is a magnet. Suggest two ways to identify the magnet.

Determining the Magnet:

1. Magnets are objects capable of creating magnetic fields and attracting unlike poles and repelling like poles.
2. Put both metal bars in the iron fillings and pull them out as soon as possible. Some iron filings will be attracted to the magnet, while the simple metal bar will remain plain.
   

3. Bring a magnet near each of the metal bars one at a time. The magnetic bar that repels or attracts the bar, is magnetic, while the other is not.
