  1. Work done is the product of force applied on an object and magnitude of the displacement.
  2. Mathematically, W=f.r=frcosθ, where f is the force applied in the direction of displacement, r is the displacement ,θ is the angle between force and displacement and W is the work done.
  3. Components of force is resolve in fcosθ and fsinθ.
  4. Take the component of force which is in the direction of displacement, which is fcosθ.
