Treatments for high white blood cell count:

  1. A high count of white blood cells is referred to as leukocytosis. Generally having greater than 11,000 WBC/μl blood is considered leukocytosis.
  2. Leukocytosis may occur due to various reasons. Treatments are done according to it.
  3. In case of bacterial infection, antibiotics are given to patients.
  4. In case of an allergic reaction, antihistamines are prescribed.

Treatments for other common causes:

  1. Anti-inflammatory medications.
  2. IV fluids for improving blood flow.
  3. Anti-stress or anti-anxiety medications.
  4. Quickly reduce the WBC number by leukapheresis.
