Solution

The correct option is A The ratio of concentrations of cations to anions is 34
Molarity=number of moles of solutevolume of solution in mL×1000

Moles of NaCl=1×1001000=0.1 mol

Moles of HCl=3×1001000=0.3 mol

Moles of CaCl2=1×2001000=0.2 mol

Moles of cations in the mixed solution =moles of Na++H++Ca2+
Total moles of cations=0.1+0.3+0.2=0.6 mol

Similarly,
Moles of anions in the mixed solution
=moles of Cl from NaCl+Cl from HCl+Cl from CaCl2
Total moles of anions=0.1+0.3+(2×0.2)=0.8 mol
Ratio of cations to anions =0.60.8=34
Molarity of Cl= 0.8×1000400=2 M
