How will you separate a mixture of salt and chalk?

• We can separate the mixture of salt and chalk by putting the mixture in water.
• The salt will dissolve in the water and chalk will not.
• So, chalk could be separated by filtration from the salt solution.
• On boiling the water, the salt can be obtained.
