Question

21.5 gram of sodium chloride dissolves in 60 gram of water at 25 degree celcius temperature . Calculate the solubility of sodium chloride in water at that temperature?

Open in App
Solution

Here, the mass of the solute = is 21.5g whereas the mass of the solvent is 60g.
Given, the temperature of solubility is 25 degree Celsius.
Since,
( Mass of solute/ mass of solvent ) x (temperature ) = solubility of the mixture
Solubility of the mixture =( 21.5/60 ) x ( 25) = 8.96
