30% passengers from a train got down at station A, 70% of the remaining got down at station B. If there are still 1050 passengers on the train, how many passengers were there before station A, provided No one boarded the train at station A and B.

Let x be the total passengers in train before station A

Total people got down in station A = 0.3x

Balance = 0.7x

Total people got down in station B = 0.7 * 0.7x (70 % of remaining people)

x = 0.3x + 0.49 x + 1050
x = 1050/0.21 = 5000
