The correct option is B 5 kg m/s
Initial momentum, pi = m x vi
= 0.5 kg x 10 m/s = 5 kg m/s

After the collision with the wall, the ball comes to rest, i.e., the velocity becomes zero.

Final momentum, pf = m x vf
= 0.5 kg x 0 = 0 kg m/s

Change in momentum, Δp = pf - pi
⇒ Δp = 0 - 5 = -5 kg m/s

Magnitude of the change in momentum = 5 kg m/s
