Given that the dimensions of box are 9 m × 2 m × 3.5 m.

Edge of cubical carton = 0.5 m

Let n be the number of cubical cartons.

∴ Volume of box = n × Volume of 1 cubical carton

9×2×3.5=n×(0.5)3

n=9×2×72(12)3

n=9×7×8

n=504

Therefore, maximum 504 cubical cartons can be stored in the box.
