By conservation of linear momentum

Momentum before = Momentum after-------------1

Momentum before =m1v1+m2v2=1200×20+1500×0=24000kgms-1--2)

Momentum after =(m1+m2)v=(1200+1500)v=2700vkgms-1--3)
