A closed wooden box 80 cm along, 65 cm wide and 45 cm high, is made of 0.5cm-thick wood. Find the capacity of the box and its weight if 100 cm3 of wood weights 8 g.

Outer length of the box = 80cm

Outer width of the box = 65cm

Outer height of the box = 45cm

Since thickness of wood is 0.5cm

Then inner length of the box=8020.5=79cm

inner width of the box=6520.5=64cm

inner height of the box=4520.5=44cm

Capacity of the box=796444=222,464cm3

And

Volume of wooden box =806545796444

=234,000222,464=11,536cm3

Weight of 100 cm3of wood=8g

Weight of11,536cm3 of wood=(8/100)11,536=922,88g
