Given:-
Current through 2Ω resistor =3 A
So, Potential difference across 2Ω resistor
V=IR=3×2=6 V

As in parallel connection, potential difference is same

The potential difference across 1 Ω and 5 Ω series combination is 6 V

Current through 1 Ω and 5 Ω resistor

I=VRS

I=61+5

I=1 A

Power dissipated in 5Ω resistor, P=I2R

P=(1)2×5
